For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is The Travel Visa Company Limited of Gloucester House, Church Walk, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 9AS.
The Travel Visa Company will collect personal information from the application form which you submit to us upon instruction; passports and any other documentation provided to us for the purposes of your visa application. This will include but is not limited to the User’s name, contact details such as your address, phone and email, holiday destination, travel history, and credit/debit card details. It could also include ‘sensitive’ information such as medical history and criminal convictions involving moral turpitude or a violation related to a controlled substance.
Personal information may also be gathered from when you write, fax, telephone or email us to make an enquiry.
Use of Personal Information
The Travel Visa Company uses your personal information to assess your suitability for a visa application and submit a visa application on your behalf. For the purpose of providing you with our services, we will disclose the information to third parties such as Embassies, High Commissions and foreign passport offices (who could be located outside the UK/EEA).
In order for you to travel overseas, it may be mandatory (as requested by government authorities) to disclose your information for immigration, security and anti-terrorism purposes, or any other purposes which they determine appropriate. Even if not mandatory, we may exercise our discretion to assist where appropriate.
The Travel Visa Company also uses information held about you in the following ways:
- To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
- To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes;
- To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us;
- To notify you about changes to our service.
The Travel Visa Company does not sell or pass on data to any third parties but we may use your data on behalf of a third party.

Due to privacy laws, The Travel Visa Company is unable to discuss your personal details and/or visa applications with any third party enquiring on your behalf (including family) unless you provide your consent authorising us to do so.
IP Addresses and Cookies
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:
- To estimate our audience size and usage pattern;
- To store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customise our site according to your individual interests;

Where we store your personal data

Access to Information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
